behind the viewfinder

Art for me has always been an opportunity to see the world through another person’s eyes. In my photographs I try to show the little things that I notice – colours, shapes, connections and relationships – anything that makes me stop a look that little bit harder.

I tend to avoid posed or constructed images, preferring to let my mind take a break and give my eyes free-reign. I will amaze myself sometimes, feeling as if I wasn’t really present when an image was formed.

When I look back through my images I always find something that provokes a question, an emotion, a moment.
